We set this clinic up because we were tired of the alternative.
Dr. Saira Rasheed trained at King's College London and practised for six years across Guy's Hospital and a private clinic in Marylebone before returning to Islamabad in 2019. The plan, honestly, was a sabbatical. She ended up staying.
What she kept hearing from friends and family in F-7, F-8 and the Diplomatic Enclave was the same thing: they didn't trust their dentists. Not because the clinical work was poor — much of it was excellent — but because the conversation around treatment felt transactional. Four root canals were quoted when one was needed. Veneers were recommended to patients whose teeth only needed a polish. Prices moved between visits without explanation.
SmilePlus opened on the third floor of Silver Oaks Plaza in August 2019 with a single surgery, a part-time nurse, and one rule written on a whiteboard behind the desk: if we don't need to treat it, we say so. That rule is still on the same whiteboard.
Five years on, we're three dentists, two hygienists, a dedicated paediatric room, a fully digital practice (intra-oral scanning, digital smile design, in-house CAD for crowns and veneers) and a panel-billing operation that handles reimbursements for six insurers so patients don't have to chase paperwork themselves. We see around eighty patients a week. Most of them are referrals from other patients — which is the only growth number we actually pay attention to.
We are deliberately a small team. We don't operate on weekends because nobody does their best dentistry on a Sunday. We don't run discount campaigns, because a clinic that drops prices to fill an appointment book is a clinic that will find a reason to treat you whether you need it or not. We give every patient a consultation summary in writing — including the option of not doing the treatment — and we take the time to explain why.
If that sounds like the kind of dentistry that would suit you, we'd be glad to see you. If you're looking for a same-day smile makeover without a medical history review, we're probably not the right clinic, and we'll tell you that up front.
Four things we refuse to do.
Anyone quoting you for a root canal or a crown over WhatsApp without seeing the tooth is guessing. Honest advice requires diagnosis. Consultation first, treatment plan second.
Treatment plans are written, discussed, and printed at consultation — not revised upwards while you're lying down with a rubber dam on. If something genuinely changes mid-procedure we stop and talk.
Minor cosmetic concerns often don't need intervention. A small enamel chip sometimes just needs polishing. We'll tell you when we think the best treatment is no treatment.
Your details are used to run your treatment and — with your permission — to send appointment reminders. Nothing else. We don't sell patient lists, we don't run retargeting ads, we don't share with "partners".
All three dentists are registered with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. Registration numbers visible on each dentist's profile.
