Terms of service.

1. Who these terms cover

These terms apply to all patients of SmilePlus Dental (Pvt.) Limited and to all users of smileplus.clinic and our WhatsApp service. By booking an appointment or sending us a message, you agree to these terms.

2. Consultations and treatment plans

A consultation costs PKR 3,500. If you proceed with treatment within 30 days of the consultation, the consultation fee is deducted from your treatment bill.

Every treatment plan is written, explained, and signed before work begins. We will not start treatment without your informed consent. Where a plan is complex, you are entitled to take it home, consider it, or seek a second opinion — we encourage this.

3. Appointments and cancellations

We hold time for each patient. If you cannot attend, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance (WhatsApp is fine). Cancellations or no-shows inside 24 hours may attract a PKR 1,500 rescheduling fee, waived if the situation is genuinely unavoidable (illness, emergency).

We run two emergency slots per working day (11:00 AM and 4:00 PM) which are allocated on the morning of the appointment.

4. Fees and payment

All fees are quoted in Pakistani Rupees. Where treatment depends on case complexity (e.g. orthodontics, veneers, implants) you will be given a firm written quote after consultation and before treatment starts. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

We accept cash, local debit/credit cards (via an HBL terminal), and bank transfer. For orthodontic and implant cases, we offer an interest-free instalment plan over up to 12 months — details at consultation.

For panel patients, we bill the insurer directly where possible (see Insurance). If your insurer operates a claim-back model, you pay at reception and claim reimbursement using our itemised receipt.

5. Clinical guarantees

Where a restoration fails prematurely (crown, filling, veneer) for reasons attributable to the clinical work — not trauma, grinding without a nightguard, or poor oral hygiene — we will redo the work at no charge, subject to:

• Composite fillings: 2 years
• Ceramic crowns and veneers: 5 years
• Root canal treatment: 2 years (re-treatment free if the same tooth requires it within 2 years and there is no new infection)

Orthodontic outcomes depend significantly on retainer compliance; we do not guarantee against relapse but will adjust retainers free within 12 months of removal.

6. What we do not treat

We do not provide general anaesthetic on-site. Full-mouth cases requiring GA are referred to an oral-maxillofacial surgeon with hospital privileges (usually Shifa International). We do not accept patients under 3 years of age. We do not provide cosmetic-only treatment to anyone under 18 without a written clinical justification.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please speak with Dr. Saira Rasheed directly — in person, by email at hello@smileplusdental.pk, or via WhatsApp. We aim to respond within 2 working days and resolve within 14 days.

If the matter isn't resolved to your satisfaction, you are entitled to complain to the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (pmdc.pk).

8. Liability

We carry professional indemnity insurance with Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited. Our total liability for any claim relating to treatment is capped at the amount covered by that insurance, save where capping is prohibited by law (such as claims for death or personal injury caused by negligence, which are not capped).

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be flagged at your next visit.
