Composite veneer
Same-day composite veneers. A good trial for shape & colour.
Direct composite veneers layered onto the tooth surface in a single appointment. Lifespan 4–6 years (vs. 10–15 for e-max) but 1/3 the cost, fully reversible, and an excellent way to trial a shape and shade before committing to porcelain. We recommend these particularly for patients under 25 and for single-tooth aesthetic corrections.
For the first 24 hours after your e-max veneer fit, avoid very hard or very chewy food — the cement reaches full bond strength overnight.
Avoid biting hard things directly with your front teeth (e.g. biting into apples whole, opening bottles with your teeth, chewing ice) — this applies forever with veneers. Cut apples into slices.
Floss daily. Veneers have a margin at the gum, and gum health is what determines veneer lifespan most strongly.
Schedule a polish every 12 months. We include the 3-month and 12-month review in your fee.

- A veneer comes off (it happens rarely — keep it, do not superglue, call us — re-bonding is quick)
